    Hi Catherine! My question is: I had a lot of expenses (for seminars, home study courses and coaching sessions) in the financial year 2010/11 so that I can start a business. I only set the business up right now (August 2011). Is there any chance I can claim those business related expenses from 2010/11 in the tax return of 2010/11?

    HiGertraud, Yes you can claim them last year and they will be carried forward to offset in future years. She will need to put a business schedule in your return or we can do this for you.
